Mel Bartlett​ grew up in a rural town in Kentucky and moved to the Kentuckian suburbs near Cincinnati, Ohio in 2013 and has lived there since. She recently completed her BFA in animation at CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design) in December of 2021.

 

Mel is the author of the slice-of-life Webtoon/Tumblr-based webcomic Bucko's Brews. She now works mainly with mediums including 2D and experimental animation, traditional and digital illustration, and motion graphics. She has loved drawing and animation since early childhood, when she spent her days filling sketchbooks with drawings inspired by the book series Warrior Cats.
